About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Technician on Drone systems to join our Production & Maintenance team. You will be working on the assembly and maintenance of our drones and drone-related products. You work closely together with the Engineering- and Flight Operations teams to ensure we have high quality drones and supporting ground systems to save lives.
As a Drone Technician your key responsibilities will be production (Aeras, DS, CTs.) including production planning and production work prep. You will be working on maintenance, documentation, planning and improving work procedures. You’re the go to person for our Hardware and Embedded teams to receive feedback and make improvements on their designs.
You will be working on activities like subsystem, mechanical - and wiring assemblies according to CAD drawings. Quality inspections, soldering and crimping, adhesive work and support of the engineering team in R&D projects will be day to day in this role. You will be part of creating and updating production and maintenance documentation and manuals, while also focussing on avionic components programming, installation and calibrations.
You will also be working on;
Propulsion system installation, testing and calibrations;
UAV Inspection and maintenances;
Composite trimming;
Tool/Jig design using 3D printers and lasercutter.
About you
Preferably you have all-round knowlegde and experience as a technician in the mechatronics field or similar. You are able to read and work from technical drawings (CAD) and manuals. You’re excellent at soldering and, ideally, have an understanding of Embedded systems. Enjoying the challenge of improving both the production line, maintenance and your own skills is important for this role.
You see yourself as a team player, well organised with a can-do mentality who can work independently, whilst also enjoying office banter in between hard work. You are resilient, flexible, like to be creative and to find resourceful solutions. You have a proactive work ethic and don’t shy away from taking initiative in the assembly of our product. You get things done while working precise, thorough and ensuring quality and reliability.
Requirements
For this role you bring at least 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar Technician role. You have a Technical Secondary vocational education or Technical College (in the Netherlands MBO or HBO) or proven experience with drone building and/or similar industries. Also important fort his role;
Hands-on mentality, team-focused, organised and analytical;
Experience in high-tech start-ups or scale-ups is a benefit;
Fluency in English;
EU citizenship or an EU work permit.
