About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Sales Manager to join our Commercial team. This role requires a professional with an entrepreneurial mindset who is passionate about innovative and impactful technology, with a strong preference for Dutch language skills. As a Sales Manager, you will help us navigate the uncharted territories of a heavily regulated market. We need a resilient, persevering, and creative leader who shares our passion for applying drone technology to save lives and create new ways of doing business. We offer immense market potential and need your expertise to help unlock and seize these opportunities. As Avy's ambassador, you will promote our mission of "drones for good" to the Dutch and European markets, expanding our market share by building new and loyal partnerships. Your primary goal will be to grow our customer base in emergency services and other drone markets, focusing on European customers and expanding into new growth markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate leads by sourcing prospects and engaging with target customers

  • Grow and actively manage the sales pipeline from prospect to completion

  • Convert high-quality sales conversations into new customers

  • Enhance the sales strategy and value proposition

  • Design and improve commercial methods, processes, tools, and initiatives to enhance customer quality and increase effectiveness

  • Support our customers with consultancy as trusted advisor

  • Address new applications and markets to expand our market footprint

  • Develop a programmatic and scalable sales approach, making team impacts visible

About You

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role (sales, business development  and/or key accounts, partnerships)

  • Fluent in English, Dutch is highly preferred 

  • Hands-on mentality, team-focused, organised, analytical, and tech-savvy

  • Network/experience in the field of drones and/or emergency response is a big plus

  • Experience dealing with public and semi-public organisations

  • Experience in executing large commercial projects

  • Affinity with drones/aviation and related markets (e.g., emergency response, medical delivery, monitoring, and inspection)

  • Experience in high-tech start-ups or scale-ups

  • Flexibility to travel within the Netherlands, Europe, and beyond

  • EU citizenship or an EU work permit
